Elliot Formal has been the interim CEO of Agoro Carbon Alliance since June 2022. Prior to that Elliot was working in a variety of finance roles at Yara, first in the Industrial Solutions segment and most recently in the Portfolio Development area, which supports many of Yara’s strategic initiatives including Agoro. Prior to this, Elliot held roles within finance, international sales, and management consulting at Hurtigruten, Enklere Liv, and BearingPoint, respectively.

Elliot was born and grew up in the Washington, D.C area, graduated with a BBA and BA from James Madison University in Virginia (Go Dukes!), and a Masters in International Business from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). Elliot has been living in Norway for the last 12 years – together in Oslo now with his wife, two year old daughter, and very lazy dog – but to this day still misses American fast food.
